A taste of Spring

We had a taste of spring this past weekend. The weather was beautiful! We broke out the twins double stroller and went on a family walk. The boys really liked facing out for the first time and were able to enjoy the scenary.
Aidan and daddy checked out the creek that flows behind our house for fish.
He also loved pushing his brothers and would move my hand ever time I tried to help him push. He is becoming quite the Mr. Independent!
My life.
Playing some ball with daddy.
I think he is the cutest 3 year old I know!

Landon

I have had so many nice calls, texts, and emails asking about Landon. Since it is hard to call everyone, and keep all of our friends and family updated, I have started a blog for Landon. I will try to keep it updated as we learn more and get closer to surgery. Thank you so much for your prayers for our little baby boy.

Aidan's Birthday Party

We had to reschduled Aidan's birthday party because everyone (except the twins-thank god!) got sick. James, Aidan and I had the noravirus. It was miserable. I hope we never have to deal with that again.

But....the party must go on.
Aidan invited 5 of his little friends over to help him celebrate turning 3. The kids were so great and had a blast together.

Aidan's first trip to the dentist!

Aidan had his first trip to the dentist on his birthday. (We tried to go before, but it didn't go so well....)

He did so good and I am so proud of him!
Next time I need to remember not to schedule his appointment on his actual birthday.
And especially not after he eats a big, fat, blue cupcake!

Happy 3rd Birthday Aidan

We no longer have 3 under 3. Guess I need to come up with a new sentence to put at the top of my page. My first baby is turning into a little boy. I can't believe how much joy he has brought to our lives in the past 3 years and how much love his fills out hearts with.
Aidan James, you are such a blessing to everyone who loves you! You are a sweet, outgoing little boy who greats most strangers with a hand shake and you ask them "how you doing". (For those who have not heard him ask this, picture Joey from friends). You bless some grandma-looking women with hugs instead.
You go to preschool and have lots of friends. You sleep in a big boy bed, and never try to escape after bedtime. In the mornings you will usually lay in bed and call for "mama" or "daddy" when you wake up until we come and get you.
You are absolutley 100% BOY! Your favorite toys are trucks and trains and you love to play outside.
You are spolied by both set of grandparents and have aunts and uncles who love you to pieces!
We can see your little mind starting to figure things out. Most recently you like to ask tons of questions! I have been hearing alot of "Hey Mama", "umm...mommy?", etc.
And, the newest question that I am not so sure I like is.....
"Why not?"
You love your little brother so much and are the BEST big brother!
You love going to school, and never get in trouble. (Ok, maybe once when you threw a block at your teachers face....We can talk about that later.)
You have alot of friends at school and know them by name!
Every morning when you wake up, you ask me if you can go to school.
But, you are so excited when I come to pick you up! Your brothers and I love the hugs you give us when we get there!
Your mommy loves you so much!!!

Bath Time

James had to work late one night, so I attemped to bathe the boys alone. Bathing them alone isn't a big deal, I do it about once a week, however, I got the bright idea to bathe them at the same time. Alone. Let's just say I got a little ahead of myself, and somehow I forgot that there is only one of me, and two of them. Needless to say, I will NEVER try to bathe two infants in the sink at the same time again. I long for the day these two can climb into the bath tub with their older brother and we can do an assembly line of washing body parts. Or until we can take them out back and just hose them off. :)
But for now (no pun intended), I will continue to wash these little butts one at a time and enjoy every single second of it.
Because time is going by way to quickly, and before we know it, we will be chasing these little feet all over the house.
For your humor (and so I can look back and remind myself why I will never do this again) here is how it played out.

Got both babies naked and sat them in the "staging area".
One peed in his brand new high chair while I was running the water. Nice.
One baby in. Two babies in.
This is where is got interesting. Neither baby could sit up in the sink without my help. So I had one hand on each baby trying to hold them up, and no hands left to wash them. So...I took Landon out of his bath. Bathed Grayson's then switched. While I was washing Landon, Grayson peed all over his clean towel.
Or it could have been while I tried to take some butt pictures. Not sure.
He was the only one smiling when it was all over. The rest of us were crying.
