Solids!!!

I waited as long as I could. I was against it. We are still trying to teach these boys the difference between day and night, and that at night we sleep for more than 2 hours at a time.
I am just getting into a routine. I still whine that there are not enough hours in the day.
My house looks like a day care, and clean clothes usually go from the basket (sometimes folded) onto one of my boys, and then back in the dirty clothes.

I would have waited until they were 9 months.
Oh the thought of it all.
The dirty bibs, the extra dishes, the stains on their shirts, the smelly diapers.

But.... this sweet baby....
and this one....
need to gain some weight. So....here we go:
Landon is a natural.
He even cried for more when it was his brother's turn.
Grayson wasn't a fan. This is what the whole experience was like.
In the mouth....down the chin.
Repeat.
Night number two I tricked them with some bananas. I got these two precious smiles flashed at me in return.
Wait a minute.
You.tricked.me.
Back on strike.
At least I have one little boy who makes my life a little easier by feeding himself. Can someone remind him he is only 6 months old!
Oh, and did I mention I am teaching their big brother how to babysit? You can never start to early!

February

I am not sure where the past month has gone. We traveled to Savannah and Jacksonville for yet another wedding, enjoyed a few more snow days, went to the circus, and tried to get everyone here healthy after rounds of ear infections and colds. Needless to say we are ready for spring!

My handsome boy with his mom on Valentines Day.
Mom came over and kept the twins so these two could take me out on a date:
The (hopefully) last snow of the year.
Instead of going outside we opted to do this:
I think we were all just as happy staying inside where it was nice and warm! I have to say, we did get creative after being stuck inside for so long and had a nice rotation of play doh, coloring, painting, and playing with Aidan's trains. Aidan decided his brother neededs to wear their hats because it was snowing  (even though we did not step a foot outside). Smart little boy.
What could be so interesting??
WAY to much TV time this winter. Even the twins are obsessed with Mickey. Me, not so much. If I hear "Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog " one more time.....
This is what a normal day in our house looks like.

Circus

We have never been to the Circus. We tried to go last year, but we had schedule conflict. The year before Aidan was too young, the year before I was pregnant. I was so excited when we decided to go this year!
And so was he:
We talked about going to the circus for days before!
James, Aidan, and I went with some friends. We were able to get free tickets for the kids, and had the whole row reserved for our group! The kids were so good and had a great time!
I was so proud of Aidan. He sat and watched the whole show! 2 hours long!!
He talked and talked about what he saw on the way home until he passes out.
The next morning he was still talking about the elephants, tigers, and bears. (I think he dreamed the bears part up, because there we not any bears there.) Silly boy.
Now seriously, how do they get those elephants to do that??

6 Months old!!

I can't believe we are half way through the first year! It amazes me that these boys are already 6 months old.
They have brought so much joy to our lives, and we can not imagine our lives without them!
They are little and just weighed in at 13.2 and 13.4, so we are trying to put some meat on their bones! So far we have tried rice cereal, bananas, prunes (a must in this house!), and sweat potatoes. I am making all their baby food and it has gone pretty well so far.
Landon,
You (still) weigh 2 ounces more than your little brother. You like momm'y milk better than the bottle, but you are adjusting pretty well to formula. You are the biggest flirt! I love the way you bat your pretty little eyes at the ladies! You are beginning to learn how to get from point A to point B. You roll and scott to reach toys, and have figured out how to scoot backwards pretty fast. Some how you always end up with your little legs stuck under the couch! You are a facegrabber so I have to keep your nails trimmed or we would all have some battle wounds. You LOVE baby food and are not very patient while your brother gets his turn.

Grayson
We call you Gray and Gray Bear. Hey, it is better than stinky. ;) You have the sweetest face in the world, and checks that I love to kiss all day long! I am starting to see more Aidan in you and your brother. You are becoming a better sleeper, and are my only child that I can lay down AWAKE! You will play for a few minutes and then put  yourself to sleep. Mommy thanks you for this!! You are trying to hold your own bottles, but not much of a fan of baby food yet. You are very content playing in one spot and have not tried to move around too much yet. I love you so much and enjoy watching you check out your world!
This month you guys have really "found" each other!
It is so fun watching you two play.
We are so blessed to get to experience the magic of twins.
I cherish every moment of watching you two, and your bigg(est) brother grow!
Even the moments that end in tears. (For all of us ;))
Side note: When I was looking back at the pictures from this month, we have a lot of pictures where someone hand is in someones mouth. Then I realized that it is always Gray's hand in Landon's mouth. I think that is really funny. For some reason, Grayson likes the feeling of Landon chewing on his hand. Ha, ha. It will be interesting to see where this goes.....
Double Trouble!
